Terry and his team were wonderful. We did the refresher course, then headed out to [the] dive site. The Crew knew their stuff, communicated very well, and knew we were there for fun. One of the best diving experiences we have had. Great clarity, over 100 feet, with diversity of sea life. Highly recommend.

Bermuda Diving - Wrecks and Reefs

Bermuda diving means mysterious shipwrecks, stunning coral reefs and exciting ocean exploration

THERE IS A VARIETY OF SPECTACULAR SCUBA DIVING in bermuda, as well as great sNORKELING LOCATIONS too. Warmed by the Gulf Stream effect, Bermuda’s 200 square miles of reef flourish in an environment unlike any other. Protected by law, the coral reef that surrounds Bermuda is populated by an array of brain coral, candelabra coral, and sea fans - all for divers to enjoy.

Bermuda's treacherous barrier reef has proved the undoing of hundreds of ships over the last four centuries. Some lie in water as shallow as 12 feet, and many lie in waters ranging from 15 to 70 feet deep resulting in fantastic wreck diving for ocean adventurers.

Our wrecks include luxury liners, gunships, steamers, freighters, frigates, passenger steamships, cargo ships, fishing and sailing sloops, brigantines, and even a few paddlewheel steamers. The wrecks carried a variety of national flags, including the United States, Canada, Spain, Norway, France, Greece, Portugal, Italy - and Bermuda.

The most significant wreck in Bermuda's history is that of the English flagship Sea Venture, which went down in shallow waters just off what is now the Town of St. George, on 28 July 1609. All 150 passengers and crew survived the wreck, and became Bermuda's first settlers.

Our barrier reef is the world's most northern coral reef system and, in addition to being a graveyard for ships, it is home for an abundance of colouful and fascinating marine life, which snorkelers can delight in from the surface. Bermuda diving at its best!

Wrecks we dive frequently:

  • Caraquet
  • Cristobal Colon
  • Iristo (Aristo)
  • The Kate
  • Madiana
  • Pelinaion
  • Rita Zovetta
  • Taunton
  • Hermes
  • Pollockshields
  • Mary Celeste

Reefs we dive frequently:

  • NASA Point
  • Ben's Bender
  • Cathedral
  • North East Breaker
  • Watch Hill Park
  • North Rock Nature Preserve
  • Tarpon Hole

Try our morning two-tank dive (for certified divers only), which consists of a wreck dive and a reef dive. The single tank afternoon dive will be either a wreck or a reef and is for both experienced and beginner divers. Want to learn to scuba dive? We are a PADI Dive Resort and we offer a full range of PADI courses for all levels of participant.

Dive or snorkel, you are sure to enjoy a stunning underwater experience in Bermuda.
