Do I need to bring my certification card?
We are required to see scuba divers' certification cards by law. We are able to check PADI certified divers online. Divers certified by other agencies will need to show their card.
What happens if I cannot prove that I am certified?
You will be considered uncertified and will require a lesson and will be limited to a maximum depth of 30ft and will be guided throughout.
Can I go deep diving?
The majority of the diving in Bermuda is 30-70ft. This applies to both wreck and reef diving. Bermuda is a plateau and there are no walls.
Can I go into the wreck (penetration diving)?
There are several artificial reef sites on in Bermuda that allow for penetration. The majority of wrecks are historic and broke up at the time of sinking.
Are reservations required?
Reservations are required and are secured with a major credit card number. Cancellation within 24 hours of your activity will result in a charge for the full amount being tendered to the card provided. Please check-in half an hour prior to your reservation. All activities are weather dependent.
Do you have Nitrox?
We do not offer Nitrox, sorry.
Do you offer a refresher course?
Yes. We suggest that divers that have not dived for more than two years take a refresher and dive with an instructor for the first dive of their visit.
Are you a PADI resort?
Yes we are a PADI resort and we offer PADI sanctioned courses from Scuba Diver to Divemaster plus several specialty courses.
Is there shade on the boat?
“Tidal Pull” is 30ft custom-built Island Hopper that offers a large shaded area, hot water shower, head, towels, refreshments, large platform and ladder.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No. We offer a full line of rental equipment from MARES Scuba one of the world's leading manufacturers of scuba equipment. All of our regulators come with primary, secondary, low-pressure inflator, pressure gauge and computer.
How many divers per trip?
We limit numbers to 10 on a two-tank dive and 15 for a one-tank dive. We are licensed for many more and numbers can be increased in agreement with the guest wishes (private charters etc)
Who chooses the site?
The Captain chooses sites daily. We try not to repeat sites and will honour requests whenever possible but we are unable to promise any site in advance.. All sites are chosen with the following considerations in mind; weather, the experience level of all divers, safety
Will I see a wreck?
The morning two-tank dive tends to be one wreck and one reef. The afternoon one-tank dive can be wreck or reef.
Are passengers welcome?
Depending on conditions and numbers passengers and snorkelers are welcome on all trips. The captain makes this decision two hours prior to the excursion.
What is the visibility?
Visibility varies throughout the year with winter offering the clearest water - visibility often exceeds 200ft between October and March. Summer months offer visibility ranging from 40 feet to 100 feet, with the occasional 200 feet day. There is no way to predict exactly what visibility will be like.
Can I store my gear at the shop?
Yes. We offer rinse facilities and storage to our guests.
Do you offer multi dive discounts?
Yes. Discounts are available to certified divers that join us for two or more mornings.
